1.Notification Center #

Notification Center in CorporateStack allows users to keep up with all of the things that require their attention. The notification center can be seen on any page, on the right side of the main navigation.

With just a quick look at the notification center, users can see the things that require their attention. In the screenshot above, the user has several notifications pending. Notifications are also color-coded, so a user can easily identify them. Starting from the right of the Notification Center, these are the notifications shown:

  • Inbox: Displays the current unread messages in the inbox of the user (Green Notifications)
    • If the inbox icon (mail) is clicked, there is a pop-out window that shows the current unread messages.
    • To view a message, click on that message. This opens a separate window where the chat history between the users can be viewed.
    • Messages can also be sent from this window by clicking the Reply button on the top right corner of the message window.
  • Tasks: Displays the current pending tasks that the user needs to complete. (Orange Notifications)
    • If the task icon (list) is clicked, there is a pop-out window that shows the current pending tasks.
    • Each task presents a summarized view of the task. It shows the last action taken, and the due date of the task.
    • To view a detailed history, click on the task. This will open in a separate window. Here an action can be made by clicking the Actions button the the top right corner of the task window.
    • Users can either add a reply to the task or mark the task as completed.
  • Action: Displays the current pending actions that the user needs to take. (Red Notifications)
    • If the action icon (bell) is clicked, there is a pop-out window that shows the current pending actions.
    • Each action presents a summarized view of the action. It shows the opportunity this action belongs to, the action itself, the assigner and assignee, and the due date of the action.
    • To view a detailed history, click on the action. This will open in a separate window.
    • Here, users can choose to either mark the action as complete, or mark it as complete and set another activity that relates to this.
    • Users can also see the parent opportunity from this window.
  • Warnings: Displays the current warning that the user has from the system. (Olive Notifications)
    • If the warning icon (alert) is clicked, there is a pop-out window that shows the current warnings from the system.
    • Warnings are categorized into different categories based on the warning.
    • By clicking on any category, it will take the user to the page where an action can be taken to rectify the warning.
  • General Notifications: Displays the current general notifications that a user has from the system. (Blue Notifications)
    • If the general notification (globe) icon is clicked, there is a pop-out window that shows the current global notifications from the system.
    • General notifications are categorized into different categories based on the notification.
    • By clicking on any category, it will take the user to the page where an action can be taken to rectify the notification.

1.1.Inbox #

Inbox messages can also be viewed by clicking on the inbox icon in the main navigation, then clicking view all at the bottom of the pop-out window. This opens a new page where a history of all messages can be seen. 

  • The entire history of a particular chat can be seen by clicking on that chat.
  • Chats can also be deleted by clicking on the trash icon to the right of each chat.
  • The inbox can also be searched in the search box on the top right corner. Search can be a name or even a word in a message. 
  • New messages can be created by clicking the compose new button on the top right corner. Here a recipient must be chosen. Additionally, you can also choose to attach documents. Also, you can choose to notify the recipients by email. 

1.2.Tasks #

Tasks can also be viewed by clicking on the list icon in the main navigation, then clicking view all at the bottom of the pop-out window. This opens a new page where a history of all tasks can be seen. Tasks can be filtered by the current status of the task. By default, in process tasks are shown to the user first. To view a different task stage, click on that stage on the top of the task page. Tasks can also be filtered by other task attributes such as who assigned the task, or who it was assigned to. 

  • Details about each task can be seen on this page. Also, it is possible to sort tasks in the order you wish them to appear by clicking the sort filter icon just above the task list. 
  • To modify details about a particular task, such as changing the stage, click on the settings icon next to that particular task. 
  • Tasks can also be deleted by clicking on the settings icon to the right of each task, then selecting delete. 
  • Tasks can also be archived by clicking on the settings icon to the right of each task, then selecting archive. Archived tasks are not deleted, but rather appear in the archived stage. This may be used for completed tasks that are old. 
  • New tasks can be created by clicking the compose new button on the top right corner. Here, task members must be chosen. Additionally, the task must be assigned a start date, due date and a current stage. Also, you can choose to attach any necessary documents. 

2.Profile #

Each user has a profile on CorporateStack. Profiles are customizable according to user preferences. Profiles are the identity of the user on the system. To access your profile, click on the user icon (or user photo). This will display a dropdown menu which gives several different options to the user.

  • To manage their profile page, users can access it by clicking on their name in the drop-down menu. Alternatively, users can click on My Profile, to access the page as well.
  • Activity Log, Reminders, Messages, Tasks and Requests take you to the specific pages for these activities.
  • Hovering over the Info option allows users to see the various information related to them personally. Users can choose to view the assets they posses, their leave schedule and their department. Users can also choose to change the layout of their dashboard by selecting Arrange Wall.
  • If needed, users can choose to logout at the end of their session. However, if using the portal on a personal computer, CorporateStack recommends not logging out. CorporateStack will remember your identity the next time you access the portal, allowing you to use the portal faster.
My Profile

Users can manage details about their profile from the My Profile page.

  • Profile: Details related to the employee account. Note that some fields are greyed out. This fields cannot be modified.
  • Employee Details: Personal details related to the employee.
  • Work Details: General work details for the employee related to the organization, employment, leave and visa.
  • Insurance: Details regarding the insurance for the employee.
  • Salary & Bank: Details regarding the Salary and Bank information for the employee
  • Documents: Important employee documents can be stored here.
    • Employees can add information about each of their documents, such as Passport and National ID here. This allows CorporateStack to remind users to renew important legal documents in a timely manner.
    • Employees can also store copies of their important documents in the document store. Simply attach a file and it will be stored appropriately.

Finally, employees can change their password by selecting the Change Password option on the top right corner of the window. However, using this option requires your current password. If you have forgotten your password, please contact a system administrator in order to reset it.

Customize Dashboard
  • Navigate to the Arrange Wall page.
  • To do this, click on the user profile picture on the top right corner on the page (main navigation).
  • Then, hover over Info, and select Arrange Wall.

On this page, a user can customize the Dashboard how they please. Some selected widgets that cannot be moved or deleted. Other widgets can be removed (hidden), or re-ordered as required.

3.Requests (Employee Self Service) #

There are several times where an employee needs to make a request to their supervisor/manager. These requests have various purposes and may need to be approved by multiple people. For many organizations, it can be hassle to handle these requests. CorporateStack handles employee requests with ease.

CorporateStack provides several different templates for requests. Based on our experience, these templates are the most common requests that employees need to make.

To create a new request:

  • Users can hover over the requests tab in the main navigation to create a new request.
  • Here, users can select the type of request they need. Several different options are available from leave requests to employment certificate requests.
  • Selecting a request takes the user to a new page where they can see a summary of previous requests made (for this type).
  • On this page, users can create a new request by clicking the New Request button on the right corner of the screen.
  • Clicking this button brings up a new page, where the request details can be filled in.
  • Request details vary from request to request. Below, an example for a leave request has been provided.

  • Leave Type: A list of common reasons for employee leaves is provided in this field. Required.
  • Leave Date: Date from which the employee will stop working.
  • Rejoin Date: Date from which the employee will start work again.
  • Destination: Location where the employee is traveling to, if applicable
  • Phone During Leave: A contact number for the employee where they can be reached, if traveling.
  • Remarks: Any additional remarks that the employee may need to add to notify their manager.
  • Employees can also choose to attach documents that may be relevant to the request.
  • Employees can also choose to create the request for another employee. This may be useful in the case of non-users. To read more about non-users, please refer to the General Documentation.

Note: For leave requests, a summary of the leaves taken by the employee can be viewed. This summary can be found on the Leave Request page on the top right corner. It displays the various leaves the employee has taken and how many leaves they are entitled to.
